Our Steamed Thermomix Christmas Pudding is perfect for your Christmas Day table!

I can still remember the conversations regarding ‘this years Christmas Pudding’ when I was growing up, with my Mum and Nana’s dissecting what the years previous pudding was like, what they would do differently and then who and when this years pudding would be made.  Now I’ve got to admit that I never actually ate their pudding on Christmas Day, instead I preferred to sit down with the other kids to a bowl of my Great Nan’s Steamed Chocolate Pudding and 30+ years later this is still a tradition.

Over the past few years since I’ve started hosting Christmas for my own family, I’m really eager to continue some of the traditions that I grew up with, and this Steamed Thermomix Christmas Pudding recipe is one of those. I’ve now made this recipe a couple of times in the Thermomix and each time we’ve enjoyed a rich, soft pudding. I use a 2 litre non stick pudding tin to make this recipe, mine has a diameter of 13cm and it fits into the varoma basket comfortably.  To make it easier to test the pudding as it cooks, I cover the top of the pudding tin with a piece of baking paper and then secure it with foil.  This Thermomix Christmas Pudding can be made well in advance, just store it in a cool dark place like the back of your pantry.  You can also freeze this Christmas Pudding.
