Steamed Pizza Scrolls
These pizza scrolls are so incredible I can not get enough of them. To make something so delicious only requires such minimal effort and they are perfect for the kids or as a snack in front of the TV on a cold day. Unlike the baked version, these steamed scrolls are so fluffy, they develop a beautiful texture and the cheese is perfectly melted.
I used my silicone dariole moulds to make these out of the world pizza scrolls and they are so easy to wash up and portion your scrolls perfectly. You can get these on my shop.
160 g water
1 heaped tsp dry active yeast
250 g plain flour
1 tsp salt
50 g tomato puree
1 Tbsp dried oregano
50 g salami
100 g grated cheese
Olive oil for greasing 500 g boiling water
To make the dough, place the water and yeast into the mixing bowl. Warm 2 Min. / 37C / Speed 2. Add the plain flour and salt and knead 2 Min. / Kneading Function.
Transfer the dough into a Thermi Servebowl. Alternatively, place the dough into a mixing bowl and cover with a damp tea towel. Leave to prove covered with a lid for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Once proved, place the dough onto a silicone baking mat dusted with flour. Roll out to a rectangle about 30x40cm. Spread over the tomato puree, oregano, salami and grated cheese and roll out starting on the long edge closest to you. Roll tightly into a sausage and cut into 8 individual pieces.
