Salted Caramel Sauce
Salted Caramel Sauce
This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to create a beautiful salted caramel sauce at home. You can use it to drizzle over your pancakes or spoon it over your favourite sticky toffee pudding. There are endless opportunities for this easy to create Thermomix recipe and I can already tell you, it won’t last long in your fridge.
You can store the sauce in the fridge for up to 4 weeks. If you find that it gets a little hard in the fridge, simply place the closed jar in a bowl filled with boiling water for a few minutes and let the caramel come back to room temperature.
130 g unsalted butter (in small chunks)
260 g brown sugar (or coconut sugar )
130 g double cream (or thickened cream)
1 pinch sea salt
To make the caramel sauce, place the butter, brown sugar, double cream and salt in the mixing bowl. Heat 9 Min. / Varoma / Speed 2 / no measuring cup.
Pour the cooked sauce into a sterilised jar and seal. Serve immediately with your dessert or pancakes or store in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
