Cheesy Bread Rolls
I don?t need an excuse to use cheese in anything really. When I was making dinner the other day I totally fancied some bread rolls and because I had some cheese leftover I quickly added some of it to my rolls and made cheesy bread rolls. So delicious and such an easy Thermomix recipe to prepare at home.
To prove the dough I actually used my Thermi Servebowl which created a lovely and stable proving environment and kept the temperature of the dough perfectly.
75 g mature cheddar
220 g water
1 tbsp dry active yeast
500 g strong white bread flour
½ tsp sea salt flakes
40 g unsalted butter
1 large egg
For stuffing
80 g mature cheddar (in cubes)
Place the cheddar int he mixing bowl. Blitz 5 Sec. / Speed 7. Remove and transfer into a separate bowl.
To make the dough, place the water and dry active yeast in the clean mixing bowl. Warm 2 Min. / 37°C / Speed 2.5. Add the strong white bread flour, sea salt flakes, sugar, butter and egg and knead 2 Min. / Kneading function. Transfer the dough into a Thermi Servebowl and leave to rise in the bowl for 2 hours until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 220°C / 200°C Fan / Gas Mark 8. Line a rectangular tray with greaseproof paper.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut into 8-10 equal pieces. Place a cube of cheddar in the center of each piece and roll into a ball. Place on the prepared tray. You can either make individual buns or stick them quite close to each othe...
