Tomorrow is Halloween and we are all preparing our most amazing pumpkins, dressing up and some of us are doing some great trick or treating with the kids. After all that action, it is time for a snack and these super gruesome Thermomix sausage mummies are perfect for the kids. If you are in a hurry, you can also opt for shop bought puff pastry but I have included some really simple step by step tricks to make the perfect rough puff pastry, which you can also find in my book Homebaked.
Making a rough puff pastry is much easier than you think. Unlike the traditional puff pastry, this recipe combines the butter and pastry layer within the dough already so that all you need to do is create the layers by rolling and folding about 3-4 times.

Ingredients
Rough Puff Pastry
200g ice cold butter, chopped into small chunks (you can freeze the butter for a while)
200g plain flour
90g cold water
1/2 tsp salt
